What Ion Astral is

Ion Astral makes personalized art prints of a single moment in time. You give a date, a time and a place; we calculate the real positions of the stars, planets and constellations for that exact moment and render them as a print, made to order.

Two products. Natal Blueprint is a complete birth chart — the Sun, the Moon and the planets out to Pluto, with the lunar nodes and Chiron, plus houses, the Rising sign and major aspects when the birth time is known. Night Sky is the sky itself: every visible star, planet and constellation as it stood over one date, time and place.

Ion Astral is operated by CONSTELIA LLC, Miami, Florida. Founded by Arturo González. A companion app, Astra, reaches the App Store in early October 2026.

The one thing that makes it different — and how to check it

Most personalized wall art is a template: a stock image with a name and a date printed underneath. The design does not change when the details do.

Ion Astral computes each piece. The sky is calculated from the buyer's exact date, time and place using open-source astronomical software, and the result is rendered on screen before anyone pays.

A worked example you can reproduce with any ephemeris. A birth on 15 March 1990 at 2:00 p.m. in Miami puts the Ascendant at 26°29′ Cancer. The same birth ten minutes later puts it at 28°39′ Cancer — a shift of 2°10′. Same date, same city, ten minutes.

That is enough to move a planet from one house into the next, and across a sign boundary it is enough to change the Rising sign itself. This is not a design choice; it is what the sky does. That is the whole argument. Everything else on this page is specification.

You can do this yourself in about thirty seconds, and you need neither an account nor our help: open the chart builder on our home page, enter a date, a time and a place, then change only the time and cast it again. The store is closed, but the builder is live.

How to fact-check us

We would rather hand you this than have you find it.

What is true today:

  • Both prints are made to order and ship from the buyer's own region (US, Canada, UK).
  • The store is not open. Both products are unpublished, and every purchase path on ionastral.com currently leads to the Founders reservation list, not to a checkout. It is scheduled to open on 17 September 2026. Ask us and we will tell you where that stands on the day.
  • The sky is computed per order from real astronomical data, using the open-source Astronomy Engine library. Houses are Placidus, with whole-sign used as a fallback at extreme latitudes where Placidus is undefined.
  • Paper is matte 200 gsm. Frames are solid oak or matte black; unframed is an option.
  • The company is CONSTELIA LLC, registered in Florida.

What is not true yet, and we will not let you print it:

  • We have no paying customers, no revenue and no reviews. Ion Astral has never taken money for an order. The only order in our system is an internal $0.00 test we placed ourselves. If a number would help your piece, we do not have one.
  • The app has not launched. Anything you read about Astra is a plan, not a product, and we will always say so.
  • We do not publish an accuracy figure for the astronomy, because the library we use does not publish one. We will tell you exactly which library and which models we use — above — and you are welcome to check them yourself.
  • We make no claim about the paper beyond what it is: matte 200 gsm. No longevity, ink or fine-art-grade claims. That is the whole specification.

If a claim about Ion Astral does not appear on this page, we did not make it.

The founder

Arturo González is the founder of Ion Astral.

Short bio (30 words). Arturo González is the founder of Ion Astral, a Miami studio that computes personalized birth charts and star maps and prints them. He started it after becoming a father.

Long bio (75 words). Arturo González founded Ion Astral after becoming a father made a long-standing question feel urgent: why people repeat patterns they have never examined. Looking for tools to think about it, he found them scattered across disconnected apps, mostly generic, and too often presenting the future as already decided. Ion Astral is his attempt at the opposite — something computed for one person's exact moment, made physical, and honest about what it does not know. He is based in Miami.

He is available for interviews on: how a chart is actually computed; why personalized products so often are not personalized; building a consumer brand around claims you can verify. He is not an astrologer and does not present himself as one.
